£1m Investment in UK’s First Carbon Balanced Press

Healeys have purchased a new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL75-5+L press.

The five-colour press is equipped with dedicated coating allowing protective and special effect finishes to applied in one pass.

The £1m investment is the first carbon neutral press sold into the UK market. At considerable extra expense, the 170 tonnes of CO2 emitted during it’s manufacture are being offset by the planting of 459 trees in a certified scheme inspired by Kyto’s Article 12 Clean Development Protocol.

The new press is being installed over Christmas without any disruption to production.
