Investment in new MIS brings 2013 spend to £1.25m


Healeys are investing in the state of the art Optimus Dash management information system (MIS).  The decision followed a lengthy research period in which all of the major players were considered.  Philip Dodd, managing director commented “Starting with a long list of potential vendors we whittled it down to three companies before revisiting each for exhaustive demos.  Three quickly became two, who were then subject to even more testing.  The eventual decision was actually surprisingly easy as Optimus were clear winners.”

Healeys prides itself on being able to provide very fast estimating.  Kelly Harris, sales and marketing director says “Buyers shouldn’t have to wait for a price.  We want to demonstrate to our clients that we want their work and what better way than to turn around estimates in super quick time? The new MIS will mean estimates can be completed very fast either in the office or via an iPad app which the whole sales team will be equipped with.”

Shop floor data collection will track the progress of all work using the latest technology.  Gary Aylmer, production manager, is looking forward to reducing admin and make readies and having real time transparency “JDF means we will mean we only enter information once and will be able to preset our equipment from the job ticket.  JMF will feed progress and timings back to the live production board and allow us to see where further efficiencies can be made.”
